Did President Obama Coincidentally Improve The Chances Of VP Joe Biden Attending WANY’s BC@50 Annual Conference During His State Of The Union Speech Recently?
Could be? As we’ve discussed at the last 3 WANY General Membership Meetings, through some special insider friends and contacts that we have at the VP’s office, we’re in the process of seeing if we can get Vice President Joe Biden to participate at our BC@50 Conference on June 17th.
It’s the Golden Anniversary event of our industry, which has provided the outsourced support-system, and been the launching pad for tens of thousands of small businesses and successful entrepreneuring dreamers these past 50 years (let alone the tremendous amount of jobs and tax revenues that the clients that we’ve help grow, brought to communities globally).
We are also working on the possibility that VP Biden may help us launch our world-wide ‘Stand Up To Cancer Stand-athon’ fundraising campaign at that event.
As luck would have it, one of the highlights of President Obama’s SOTU speech recently was his announcement that he’s asking Vice-President Biden to head up the Cancer Cure Mission Control initiative.
As our many British friends might say: “Brilliant!”. That coincides perfectly with the timing and spirit of our ‘Stand Up To Cancer Stand-athon’ that we were hoping VP Biden could help us jump-start it -- so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that we can solidify his participation, thanks to this development.
