March Madness Grips The Tri-State New York Serviced Workspace Scene, As WANY Celebrates Its 8th Birthday
“Warm & Fuzzy” isn’t only the name and theme of this year’s upcoming WANY 8th Annual Conference on June 14th…it’s also the feeling that was abundant at WANY’s 8th Birthday Meeting and After-party last week hosted by Carr Workplaces and sponsored by Search Office Space.
Nearly 100 Members, friends and supporters of WANY from all corners of the Serviced Workspace universe gathered to celebrate our 8 wonderful years: from OBC Operators and Coworking world luminaries…to Brokers, BC and Touchdown Space referral sources…to Service Providers and vendors…to original, long-time and new WANY members…the star-studded list of attendees there to provide their sprit and well-wishes was amazing.
Congratulations to Door Prize winners Janet Cunningham(PowerSPACE & Services) and Mark McLauthlen (Wun Systems) who took home an Ipad Mini.
And, as always, we worked as hard as we played. Uplifting presentations were delivered by WANY Executive Council Members: President David Jakubowski (Rockefeller Group Business Centers); Executive Director Andrea Pirrotti (Pirrotti Marketing); Secretary Ron Lanzo (AFR Furniture Rental and Event Furnishings); Director-At-Large Pasha Erkin (Erkin R.E.I.T.); and Managing Director Ray Lindenberg (Winning Workspaces).
Additional presentations of valuable perspectives were shared by WANY President Emeritus Paul Carter (OfficeLinks); Coworking leader Benjamin Dyett (Grindspaces); Jamie Reynolds (LiquidSpace); Roger Kahn (Champion Office Suites); and Angela Olivo (Select Office Suites).
It was also great to see Melissa Goduti attend her first WANY meeting as the new General Manager at Servcorp’s State Street location, and to receive so many salutes and well-wishes from WANY’s many industry friends and soul-mates from around the world: from Carlos Goncalves in Portugal, to Jennifer Brooke and Richard Smith in London, to Shamsunder Aggarwal and Sarosh Vatcha in India, to Kristel de Prins in Belgium, Birgit Koenig in Germany, Tony Freeth in Scotland and Borislava Tzvetkova in Bulgaria, among many others.
The ‘Center Stage’ is now set for WARM & FUZZY and what promises to be a barnburner of a WANY Annual Meeting (our 8th); an all-day affair on June 14th, with dinners and entertainment on Thursday and Friday evenings courtesy of Diamond sponsor WUN Systems. Attendance is limited to 100 attendees, and the $395 fee is waived for members and friends of WANY, so please register your participation ASAP at info@workspace-ANY.com. Event sponsorship opportunities are still availiable.
Again, thanks to all of you who attended physically or in spirit, for making WANY’s 8th Birthday such a super-special and memorable one!
